Skid steer mount

The Star FC may also be mouted on a High Flow skid steer. The operations that it will perform are similar to the excavator mounted model. It may be particularly useful in the clearance of land for development

The New Seppi Star FC combines a very effective and fast Stump and Root Grinder with a Site Preparation machine for the preparation of ground before replanting. The same machine can be used for resurfacing stone tracks, or the pulverizing of stone on the side of the highway, so that mowers are not destroyed. The machine is available in widths of 60cm - 24" and 75cm - 30".

11" or more below ground level

The depth at which the machine will work is more or less dictated by the reach of the excavator and will certainly be more than adequate for any grinding or cultivation operations.

Stump Removal

With a good operator quite large stumps may be removed. However normally we would suggest that the limit should be 25cm 10"

Clean Floor

The machine is ideal for clearing difficult to reach felled areas, making access and replanting much easier. It may also be used to clear trees that are encroaching onto agricultural land.

The Star FC may be used in a similar manner to the Seppi BMS - for the mulching of trees and bushes above ground. As the rotor speed may be lower the fineness of finish will not be as fine as the BMS, however for clearing operations it may be adequate. The rotor speed will depend on the oil flow available.

The benefit of the Star FC compared with a conventional Stump Grinder is that it is more tolerant of stones and rocks. It is also much more appropriate for grinding lateral roots. For this application it will be much faster.
